Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 80 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) must be 26 or lower.
  • You must be healthy enough for surgery (ASA score of 3 or less).
  • You cannot have had previous abdominal surgery.
  • You must have a benign (non-cancer) condition or an early-stage cancer for some procedures.
  • You cannot be pregnant or nursing.
