- You are 18 years old or older.
- More than half of your hand was burned, on your dominant right hand.
- The burn was deep second-degree or third-degree, and you had a skin graft to treat it.
- Nerve damage in your hand was confirmed with a nerve test (EMG).
- Your burn wounds have fully healed (you are in the re-epithelialization phase).
- You do not have other joint diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or unstable scars that could be worsened by hand therapy.
