This study tests whether a robot that helps train walking can improve how people with severe leg burns move after surgery. If you had a large skin graft on your legs and struggle to walk, this may help you regain a more natural walking pattern.

Who can take part

  • You have had a specific type of skin graft surgery (called a split thickness skin graft).
  • Your deep burns covered at least half (50%) of your lower body (legs/buttocks).
  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have difficulty walking (you need help or use a wheelchair).
  • You do not have burns that go into muscle or bone, severe mental or communication problems, or wounds that limit movement.
  • You weigh less than 300 pounds (135 kg) and are shorter than 6 feet 5 inches (195 cm).
