Who can take part

  • You have a lung nodule or lung cancer that needs surgery to remove part or all of a lobe.
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Your doctor says you are healthy enough to have surgery without a breathing tube.
  • You have not had surgery or radiation on the same side of your chest before.
  • You do not have severe heart or lung disease, active infection, or other major health problems.
