- English must be your child's first or main language
- No history of brain or nerve problems
- Normal or corrected vision (glasses or contacts are okay)
- Not taking any medications that could affect thinking or speech
- No intellectual disability, autism, or ADHD (for controls)
- Pass a hearing test
- Age-appropriate speech and language skills (for controls) or stuttering/speech concerns (for those who stutter)
