- You are between 40 and 70 years old.
- You are scheduled for or have had Whipple surgery, pancreatectomy, or subtotal gastrectomy.

- You do not have serious complications after surgery (like heart attack, blood clots, or infection).
- Both of your ears must be healthy (no damage, redness, bleeding, or infection) so ear acupuncture can be given.
- You do not have blockages or adhesions in your digestive tract shown on imaging.
