Who can take part
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You have one or more chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, metabolic syndrome, chronic kidney disease, or heart disease (including heart failure, coronary artery disease, or ischemic cardiomyopathy).
- You do not have gouty arthritis (a type of arthritis caused by uric acid crystals).
- You do not have acute kidney disease (sudden kidney problems).
- You are not currently taking thiazide diuretics (a type of water pill for blood pressure).
- You do not have tumor lysis syndrome (a complication of cancer treatment).
