Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) or rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
  • You are currently admitted to the Rheumatology unit at Assiut University Hospital.
  • You have not been treated for H. pylori or taken antibiotics in the last three months.
  • You are not receiving biologic therapy (a type of targeted treatment for autoimmune diseases).
  • You do not have diabetes, autoimmune thyroid disease, autoimmune hepatitis, or other autoimmune diseases besides SLE or RA.
