Who can take part
- Patient must be between 1 and 16 years old.
- H. pylori infection must be confirmed by a positive stool antigen test.
- Symptoms such as belly pain, weight loss, or slow growth must have lasted at least one month.
- Cannot have already received treatment for H. pylori, or used steroids or acid-blocking medicines in the past 2 months.
- Cannot have certain serious health conditions like kidney failure, liver disease, cancer, or autoimmune disorders.
- Cannot have a history of premature birth, asphyxia, severe genetic or metabolic disease, or severe malnutrition.
