Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have a retinal detachment that involves the central part of your vision (the macula) and it happened within the last 10 days.
  • You can see at least hand motions in the affected eye.
  • You have already had cataract surgery in that eye.
  • You are scheduled for standard retinal reattachment surgery (vitrectomy with gas bubble).
