- Need surgery on gums or implants in the upper or lower jaw
- No previous surgery on the roof of your mouth
- Not pregnant or nursing
- No sores or lesions on the roof of your mouth
- No dentures covering the roof of your mouth
- No active gum disease
- Non-smoker
- No serious health conditions
- No bony bump (torus) on the roof of your mouth
- No past chemotherapy or radiation therapy
