Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of either DEB or JEB (dystrophic or junctional epidermolysis bullosa).
  • You must be at least 4 years old (and at least 12 years old for initial enrollment).
  • You cannot have any other type of epidermolysis bullosa besides DEB or JEB.
  • You cannot be taking antibiotics by mouth or through a vein right now (some exceptions apply).
  • You cannot have used steroid creams or ointments on the study wounds in the week before the screening visit.
  • You must not have a current or past skin cancer (like basal or squamous cell) in the area being treated.
