Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- You have extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (cancer that has spread beyond one lung and nearby lymph nodes).
- You have not had any prior chemotherapy or immunotherapy for this cancer.
- You are in generally good health (able to carry out daily activities with little or no help).
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a CT or MRI scan and has not been treated with radiation.
- You agree to use effective birth control during the study and for 6 months after the last treatment.
