Wavelength lenses for nearsighted kids

This study tests a special contact lens called 'Wavelength' to slow down nearsightedness (myopia) in kids. If your child already wears contacts and has certain levels of nearsightedness, they might be able to join.

Who can take part

  • Your child's nearsightedness (prescription) must be between -0.75 and -5.00.
  • They should not have more than 1 diopter of astigmatism or a big difference between the two eyes.
  • They must have worn soft contact lenses for at least a week already.
  • Vision with glasses or contacts should be 20/25 or better (pretty good).
  • They need to be willing to wear the study lenses at least 10 hours a day, 6 days a week.
  • No other myopia treatments in the past 6 months, and no certain eye or health conditions.
