Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and have active cancer (diagnosed or treated in the last 6 months, or cancer that has spread).
  • You have a confirmed blood clot in your upper arm or neck from a catheter and have been on blood thinners for at least 3 months.
  • You are not currently bleeding or at high risk of bleeding.
  • You do not need blood thinners for another condition like atrial fibrillation or a mechanical heart valve.
  • You are not allergic to apixaban (Eliquis) and are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
