Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are taking a blood thinner for atrial fibrillation or a blood clot, such as apixaban, rivaroxaban, edoxaban, dabigatran, warfarin, or a heparin shot.
  • You have active cancer (diagnosed in the last 6 months, or cancer that has spread, or you received cancer treatment in the last 6 months).
  • You need to pause your blood thinner for a planned cancer-related surgery or procedure.
  • You do not have a mechanical heart valve, severe kidney problems, or a history of heparin allergy or heparin-induced low platelets.
