  • You are between 19 and 64 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 25 and 34.9 (considered overweight to moderately obese).
  • Your waist size is 90 cm (about 35 inches) or more if you're a man, or 85 cm (about 33 inches) or more if you're a woman.
  • Your weight has been stable (not changed more than 10%) in the last 3 months, and you haven't used any weight loss programs or medications recently.
  • You don't have diabetes or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
