Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have advanced liver cancer (called hepatocellular carcinoma) that has spread to the main portal vein (the large blood vessel supplying your liver).
  • You have not had any previous systemic treatment (medication that works throughout your body) for your liver cancer.
  • Up to 10 tumors in your liver or other parts of your body, and any tumor outside your liver is no larger than 5 cm.
  • Your liver function is good (Child-Pugh score A or B, with a score of 7 or less).
  • You have not had a PD-1 inhibitor (like Keytruda or Opdivo) or the drug apatinib before.
