Who can take part
- You are scheduled to have your gallbladder removed (laparoscopic cholecystectomy, a minimally invasive surgery).
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You do not have any vision, hearing, or communication problems that would prevent you from using a virtual reality headset or talking with the study team.
- A family member or close friend has a smartphone with internet access so they can video call with you while you are in the hospital.
- Your stress level about the surgery is higher than 3 on a 0-to-10 scale (0 = no stress, 10 = worst possible).
