Mesothelioma radiotherapy side effect study (MESORTIBO)

Pleural Mesothelioma Malignant

Part of Cancer, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.

This study looks for markers in the blood that can predict side effects in patients with pleural mesothelioma who receive high-dose radiation. If you've had chemotherapy and are getting or have gotten high-dose radiation to the whole chest, researchers want to see if they can identify who is at higher risk of side effects.

NCT04996017Recruiting· Phase 3
Atezolizumab after surgery for malignant pleural mesothelioma

This study tests whether atezolizumab given after surgery and chemotherapy can lower the risk of mesothelioma coming back compared with a placebo. It may help by boosting the immune system to control remaining microscopic cancer cells.

NCT05141253Recruiting· Early Phase 1
Trial of RD133 for mesothelin-positive tumors after prior treatment

This early-stage trial tests whether RD133 can be safe and effective for people whose solid tumors have a high “mesothelin” marker and that have not responded to at least two standard treatments. If you qualify, you’ll be checked closely for side effects and whether the tumor responds.

NCT04115267Recruiting
Registry study tracking side effects from radiation and medicines

This study follows people with cancer to better understand which treatments cause certain side effects when radiation is combined with targeted (molecular) medicines. Your participation may help doctors predict and manage side effects more safely in the future.

NCT05655078Recruiting
Proton radiation for one-sided malignant pleural mesothelioma

This study tests proton beam radiation aimed at one side of the chest in people with malignant pleural mesothelioma who are not yet having chemotherapy. The goal is to control the cancer while preserving breathing and quality of life for the right patients.

NCT03760575Recruiting· Phase 1
Pembrolizumab plus chemo with surgery for pleural mesothelioma

This trial studies how well pembrolizumab (an immune therapy) works when added to chemotherapy before image-guided surgery for malignant pleural mesothelioma. It aims to shrink or control the cancer and improve surgical results by combining treatments.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
NCT05304208Recruiting· Phase 1
Mesothelioma trial using immune cells plus surgery

This early-phase study tests a treatment that uses a patient’s immune cells (dendritic cell therapy) combined with surgery for epithelioid mesothelioma. It aims to help the immune system better recognize and attack the cancer after chemotherapy and before/around surgery.
