New treatment for painful tooth pulp in molars

  • You have a painful, inflamed pulp in one of your lower back molars.
  • You are between 15 and 30 years old.
  • The tooth responds to cold (meaning the nerve is still alive).
  • The tooth can be repaired with a filling or crown.
  • You have no other health problems that could slow healing.
  • The tooth's roots are fully grown, with no signs of damage or infection around the root.
