Who can take part
- You have pancreatic cancer that has spread to other parts of the body or is not removable by surgery, and you have not had chemotherapy for advanced or metastatic cancer before.
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You are in good physical shape (able to walk and do light work).
- Your blood counts (kidney, liver, and blood cells) are within a certain range that shows your body can handle the treatment.
- You have not had other cancer in the last 2 years that required treatment, unless it was an indolent type not needing treatment.
- You agree to use effective birth control during the study and for a period after the last dose.
