- You have a raised, thick scar from a burn that happened 3 to 6 months ago.
- You are between 20 and 40 years old.
- You do not have a pacemaker or metal implants from orthopedic surgery.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and do not have diabetes.
- You have not had any allergic reaction to magnesium sulfate before.
- You do not have a history of heart rhythm problems or certain nerve/muscle conditions like myasthenia gravis.
