Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have moderate to severe acute kidney injury (stage 2) that started within the last 10 days.
- You are in the intensive care unit (ICU) or a step-down unit.
- You received at least 3 units of blood products within 6 hours of admission for trauma, or have burns covering 15% or more of your body, or have an electrical burn, or a crush injury.
- You are expected to survive at least 24 hours after your kidney injury diagnosis.
- You do not have pre-existing kidney or liver disease, active cancer, or a known allergy to dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) or human albumin.
