  • A child 0 to 18 years old hospitalized at Ghent University Hospital's pediatric department
  • Has a central venous catheter (like a Hickman, port-a-cath, or other type) that is working well
  • The catheter tip is in the right position (confirmed by X-ray or exam)
  • Needs blood draws at least once a week during the hospital stay
  • No current bloodstream or catheter infection at the time of joining the study
