Who can take part
- Your child must be between 1 and 6 years old and weigh between 10 and 20 kg (22 to 44 pounds).
- Your child must be generally healthy (ASA I or II) and scheduled for planned (not emergency) surgery with general anesthesia.
- Your child cannot have serious breathing or heart problems like asthma, a recent cold, or sleep apnea.
- Your child cannot have anemia, sepsis, or any blockage in the nose that makes breathing hard.
- Your child must not be having a breathing tube placed through the nose (nasal intubation).
