Who can take part

  • Your child is between 1 and 4 years old.
  • You are willing to give permission for your child to be in the study.
  • Your child's BMI is in a healthy range (between the 5th and 85th percentile) for their age and sex.
  • Your child is healthy or has only a mild health condition (ASA I or II).
  • Your child is having a planned surgery that requires a breathing tube.
  • Your child does not have any known airway problems (like injury, deformity, swelling, or arthritis) and is not expected to have a difficult airway.
