Who can take part

  • You are between 14 and 60 years old and of Han Chinese ancestry.
  • Epilepsy that has not improved with at least two medications.
  • Your epilepsy team has recommended surgery that involves placing electrodes deep in the brain (SEEG).
  • No other serious health problems like advanced heart, liver, or kidney disease.
  • No history of alcohol or drug abuse, and no condition like severe intellectual disability that would prevent participation.
