Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma that has returned or spread (not from the nasal passages, salivary glands, sinuses, or skin).
- You are between 18 and 75 years old and are in generally good health (able to care for yourself).
- You have not had chemotherapy or other systemic therapy for this cancer before (except as part of treatment for early-stage disease).
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans and you are willing to provide a tumor tissue sample (either from a past biopsy or a new one).
- You do not have active infections, serious heart or lung disease, or other cancers within the last 5 years, and you are not pregnant.
