- You are between 40 and 75 years old
- You have knee osteoarthritis diagnosed by a doctor and confirmed by X-ray (grade I to III)
- You have had knee pain in the past week that rates at least 40 out of 100 on a pain scale
- You do not have other joint diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or gout
- You are not taking certain medications like antidepressants, opioids, or steroids
- You have not had a hyaluronic acid injection in your knee in the past month
