  • You are between 40 and 75 years old.
  • You have active tuberculosis (confirmed by a doctor).
  • You have not taken steroids, anti-tuberculosis drugs, or other immune-suppressing medicines in the last month.
  • You agree to the treatment plan and sign a consent form.
  • You do not have other serious lung diseases (like collapsed lung, fluid around the lung, or lung cancer).
  • You do not have severe heart, brain, liver, or kidney disease, a mental illness, or a weak immune system.
