Who can take part

  • You must be 12 or older and weigh at least 88 pounds (40 kg).
  • You must have tested positive for COVID-19 and have symptoms that started within the last 5 days.
  • You must not be able to or willing to take Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir/ritonavir).
  • You must have certain risk factors (like being 75 or older, or having conditions like diabetes or heart disease) that make severe COVID-19 more likely.
  • You cannot be very sick enough to need hospital care right now.
