Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome (heart attack or unstable angina).
  • You are scheduled for a coronary angiogram and possible stent placement.
  • You have a blocked artery (40-70% narrowed) that is not the main cause of your current symptoms and does not already have a stent.
  • You are not in shock or have unstable blood pressure.
  • You do not have severe kidney disease (eGFR <30) or a very short life expectancy.
