Who can take part

  • You are 50 years or older with knee pain that gets worse with activity
  • Your knee pain has lasted for at least 3 months and is at least a 4 out of 10 on average over the last week
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) under 40
  • You can attend online sessions and speak English well enough to understand the study
  • You have not had knee surgery, injections, or physical therapy for your knee in the past 6 months, and you are not currently practicing mindfulness programs like tai chi or meditation
  • You do not have other health conditions that cause more pain than your knee or prevent exercise
