Peri-implantitis study for patients with gum disease around implants

Peri-implantitis

Part of Mouth & dental clinical trials.

This trial studies a substance called fractalkine and its receptor in the gum fluid around dental implants affected by peri-implantitis. It aims to understand the role of these markers in inflammation, which may help improve diagnosis or treatment.

NCT05415111Recruiting
Gum graft treatment to improve inflammation around dental implants

This trial tests whether adding a soft-tissue gum graft procedure can improve healing and reduce inflammation in moderate to severe peri-implantitis (inflammation and tissue damage around a dental implant). It may help patients by targeting both the gum tissue and the area around the implant that is bleeding or has deep pockets.

NCT07191522Recruiting
Light therapy for gum disease around dental implants

This trial tests if a special light treatment (photodynamic therapy) can help treat infection and inflammation around dental implants without surgery. It may be an option for people with mild to moderate peri-implantitis who don't smoke and have healthy gums otherwise.

NCT04831060Recruiting
Study of inflammation in gum and implant disease

This trial studies people with advanced gum disease (periodontitis) or gum inflammation around dental implants (peri-implantitis), and compares them with people who have healthy gums. The goal is to understand inflammation and how it relates to these dental conditions.

Gum proteins and inflammation around dental implants

This trial looks at specific proteins found in the gum tissue around dental implants. The goal is to understand how these proteins may be linked to inflammation in people with peri-implantitis, a condition that affects the gums and bone around implants.
