Who can take part
- You are an adult (over 18 or over 21 depending on study site).
- You have peri-implantitis around at least one dental implant that has been in use for at least 1 year.
- On exam, you have signs like bleeding and/or pus with gentle probing, deep pockets (at least 6 mm), and bone loss of at least 3 mm.
- Your mouth gum inflammation is controlled for the study (full-mouth bleeding score under 25%) and your plaque is low (full-mouth plaque score under 25%).
- You must be able and willing to follow all study visits and procedures, and sign informed consent.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you do not smoke more than 15 cigarettes per day.
