Who can take part

  • You must have newly diagnosed muscle-invasive bladder cancer (stage T2-T4N0M0) or recurrent non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
  • Your cancer must be a type called transitional cell carcinoma (the most common kind).
  • You must be well enough to carry out daily activities (ECOG performance status 0 or 1).
  • You must have adequate kidney, liver, and blood cell counts as determined by blood tests.
  • You cannot have had prior chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapy for bladder cancer.
  • You must not have an active autoimmune disease or other serious medical condition that would make the treatment unsafe.
