Who can take part

  • You are a woman 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled to receive radiation therapy for pelvic cancer, with the radiation field covering at least the lower part of your spine (L5-S1).
  • You are able to lift your pelvis (for positioning during treatment).
  • You do not have certain cancers like anal or vulvar cancer.
  • You do not have an unstable spine condition, unhealed fractures, or recent muscle injuries in the affected areas.
  • You have a good activity level (ECOG score 0 or 1) and are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
