Who can take part
- Age between 40 and 75 years old
- High blood pressure, diabetes, or cholesterol must be well-controlled (not out of control)
- Willing to complete the eye exam and follow-up visits
- No severe lung disease, active cancer, or major surgery
- No current use of statin drugs or history of heart attack, stroke, or heart disease
- No severe liver or kidney disease or major electrolyte imbalance
