Who can take part

  • You must have had a heart attack within the last 5 years, with confirmed significant coronary artery narrowing on a heart test
  • OR you have heart failure: reduced pumping (EF under 40%) or preserved pumping with specific blood test and scan results
  • OR you have “high-risk” hidden (subclinical) atherosclerosis or related vascular risks, based on imaging/tests like CT, ultrasound, ABI, or plaque measurements
  • OR you have high-risk high blood pressure damage or high-risk cholesterol (based on specific lab/scan measures and medication history)
  • OR you have diabetes diagnosed more than 5 years (type 2) or more than 10 years (type 1), depending on the type
  • OR your blood pressure/cholesterol are controlled and meet the study’s “low risk” definition (limited number of medicines and LDL near target)
