Who can take part
- You are of Han ethnicity and between 18 and 65 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with periodontitis (gum disease).
- You have not had any gum treatment (like scaling, deep cleaning, or gum surgery) in the past 6 months.
- Your front teeth area has not had gum surgery or a crown placed in the last 6 months.
- You do not smoke and have never smoked, or quit smoking more than 5 years ago.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you do not have serious health conditions like uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart problems, or certain other diseases (e.g., active cancer, kidney failure, AIDS).
