Who can take part

  • Your child should be between 4 and 10 years old.
  • They must have at least one baby tooth with a cavity that you can see or feel (an open hole).
  • Your child must be generally healthy, with no long-term medical conditions.
  • They cannot have taken any antibiotics in the last 3 months.
  • They cannot have had a fluoride treatment at the dentist in the last 2 weeks.
  • The cavity should not have caused a toothache or signs of an infection (like swelling).
