Who can take part
- You have squamous cell carcinoma of the head or neck (excluding the nasopharynx or skin) that has come back in the same area but has not spread to other organs.
- You have not received prior treatment with drugs that target PD-1 or PD-L1 (a type of immunotherapy).
- Your tumor tests positive for a protein marker called PD-L1 (CPS score of 1 or higher).
- You have at least one tumor that can be reached with a light-activated treatment and can be measured on scans.
- You are in generally good health (able to do daily activities) and your organs (blood, liver, kidneys) are working well enough.
