Who can take part

  • You had a head injury
  • Your brain ventricles (fluid-filled spaces) became larger on a CT scan taken between 2 weeks and 6 months after the injury
  • You did NOT have enlarged ventricles on the first CT scan right after the injury
  • You did NOT develop enlarged ventricles within the first 2 weeks or after 6 months
  • You have never had surgery to drain fluid from your brain (a shunt) before
