- You are 18 years or older
- You had a stroke within the last 6 months
- You are able to understand and agree to take part, as judged by your rehab team
- You are currently getting rehabilitation for problems caused by the stroke, like trouble moving or walking
- You were able to walk more than 50 meters (about half a football field) before your stroke
- You do not need a brace or machine to help you walk outdoors or on stairs
