  • Your child is between 1 and 17 years old
  • Your child is currently in the hospital (for more than 48 hours) getting treatment for blood cancer, other cancer, or a stem cell transplant
  • Your child has a port catheter placed without early problems
  • You and your child agree to join the study and sign a consent form
  • Your child does not have an infection throughout their body
