  • You have kidney failure and need a tunneled central line for hemodialysis.
  • You have not had a bloodstream infection in the last 21 days.
  • You are not allergic to chlorhexidine, nylon, or polypropylene.
  • You can understand and agree to participate in the study.
  • You are not currently on an end-of-life care plan or have a cognitive or intellectual disability that would prevent participation.
