  • Diagnosed with severe beta-thalassemia
  • Be between 7 and 10 years old
  • Weigh less than 40 kilograms (about 88 pounds)
  • Have a donor who is fully or partially HLA-matched (a type of tissue match) and approved as a donor
  • Agree to receive the super transplant and sign a consent form
  • Not currently taking part in another drug trial
