Who can take part
- You are at least 20 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with peri-implantitis, which is an infection around a dental implant that causes bleeding and bone loss of more than 3 millimeters.
- You have not had radiation therapy to the affected area, and you are not currently receiving chemotherapy or long-term corticosteroid treatment.
- You are not pregnant or nursing.
- You do not have a severe medical condition (like being HIV positive, having a weakened immune system, or being classified as more than class 2 according to the ASA physical status scale).
- The placement of your implant and its restoration (the artificial tooth) is considered good by the study team, and there are no unusual anatomical issues in the area.
