Can trauma scores help predict survival after multiple injuries?

This study looks at two scoring systems, the Revised Trauma Score and the Glasgow Coma Scale, to see how well they predict survival in people with serious injuries from accidents or violence. If you are over 18 and have been treated for multiple serious injuries, this research might help doctors better understand your chances of recovery.

Who can take part

  • You are older than 18 years old.
  • You have serious injuries from an accident or violence (this includes both blunt trauma like falls or car crashes, and penetrating trauma like stabbings or gunshots).
  • You are male or female.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You do not have only minor injuries like small cuts, bruises, or a broken bone in just one arm or leg.
  • You have not been moved to another hospital and your follow-up care can be completed at this hospital.
